Dahlgren Capital enters strategic partnership in fixed income management and strengthens offering to institutional clients

The Dahlgren Capital Group continues its expansion and is entering into a strategic partnership with a leading team in fixed income management. Through the partnership, in which the parties enter as equal partners, the Group strengthens its position in fixed income credit and broadens its offering both to its own asset management and to external institutional clients.

The partnership is a central part of Dahlgren Capital’s strategy to build a front-running asset management organisation. By integrating the new team’s specialised expertise in fixed income management and credit analysis, the existing organisation is complemented, where profiles such as Klas Eklund, Hans Sterte and Jonas Schough contribute extensive experience in macroeconomics and strategic asset management.

The new fixed income team, led by Mimmi Wehtje, will become an equal partner in the joint initiative and will operate within the Dahlgren Capital Group through the newly formed company Velldor Capital.

“Our Group has a growing need for a strong fixed income solution. By now teaming up with the market’s sharpest experts on the fixed income side, we are significantly strengthening our value proposition,” says Peter Dahlgren, Founder & CEO, Dahlgren Capital.

The partnership means that Dahlgren Capital further strengthens its offering in interest-bearing investments and credit at a time when institutional investors are seeking both return and risk control.

“We have chosen to enter into this partnership with Dahlgren Capital as we share a common view on an honest and straightforward business culture. By combining our cutting-edge expertise in fixed income management with Dahlgren Capital’s experience and platform, we create long-term conditions for maximising client value. We are building something that will stand the test of time,” says Mimmi Wehtje, CEO of Velldor Capital.

The expansion comes shortly after Dahlgren Capital strengthened its international organisation in Luxembourg through the recruitment of Johan Kretz. The Group’s investment committee now consists of Peter Dahlgren, Hans Sterte, Jonas Schough, Klas Eklund, Jonas Eiserman and Johan Kretz, forming one of the market’s most competent advisory bodies.

“We are now building an organisation that can handle everything from complex fixed income credits to global investments. This is a natural continuation of our growth journey,” concludes Peter Dahlgren.
